Honus Wagner

Honus Wagner(1874-1955) played shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates for 17 years starting in 1900. Nicknamed "The Flying Dutchman", Wagner would eventually win eight National League batting titles. He would also compile more hits, runs, total bases, RBI, and stolen bases than any player up to that point. He also served some 15 years as the coach of the Pirates. The Dutchman was among the first five to be named to the Hall of Fame.
