Walter Johnson

Walter Johnson (1887-1946) is said to of had one of the most overpowering fastballs in the history of the game. "The Big Train", as he was known, played for the Washington Senators for 21 years starting in 1907. He would eventually retire to a farm in Germantown, MD having won 416 games- an awesome achievement in any era. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1936 along with Mathewson, Ruth, Cobb and Wagner.
